Yahoo Sender Hub

Sender Hub documents Yahoo's delivery expectations, complaint feedback loop enrollment, and bulk-sender authentication rules for Yahoo-hosted consumer mail.

All senders

Yahoo's sender requirements page lists minimum authentication with SPF or DKIM, valid forward and reverse DNS for sending IPs, and compliance with RFC 5321 and RFC 5322 for all senders mailing Yahoo domains.

The FAQs page clarifies that Yahoo Japan is a separate entity and that requirements apply to domains and consumer brands hosted by Yahoo Mail.

Complaint feedback loop

Yahoo's Complaint Feedback Loop documentation says enrollment is domain-based and requires DKIM-signed mail so Yahoo can attribute spam complaints. Reports use ARF so senders can suppress complaining recipients.

The FAQs note that ESPs often enroll customers on the sender's behalf; operators who send directly should confirm enrollment through Sender Hub.

Compared to DNS records

Sender Hub does not replace publishing SPF, DKIM, and DMARC in DNS. It states what Yahoo checks at delivery time, similar in role to Google's sender guidelines and Postmaster Tools documentation cited on other pages here.

DMARC policies with p=reject cause Yahoo's FAQs to describe rejection when SPF and DKIM alignment fail, which is consistent with RFC 7489's policy semantics rather than a Yahoo-specific record type.

RFC compliance

Yahoo's sender requirements cite RFC 5321 and RFC 5322 compliance alongside SPF, DKIM, and PTR expectations for sending IPs.

Bulk sender rules add DMARC with at least p=none where DMARC must pass, plus one-click unsubscribe on marketing messages per Yahoo's published timeline.

Sender Hub does not publish tenant-specific SPF strings; DNS records remain at the domain owner's DNS host.
